Activities

KPRL is committed to promote community togetherness whether it's through putting together races so that people of all ages can enjoy their favorite pasttimes with family or friends; donating to other non-profit organizations; assisting our neighbors who need help; sponsor community activities; and health and safety fairs.  This page is dedicated to the activities that KPRL is or has committed to.  If there is something you think KPRL should be involved with or if you are interested in helping with one of these projects, e-mail us.  Click on the project name for more information about the project or organization, if applicable.

Families in Need

As unfortunate incidents happen within our community, KPRL does everything possible to help our neighbors.  We assist with moral, financial and physical needs that arise during difficult times.  If you have a neighbor in special need, e-mail us.  Please know that a formal request must be made via letter or at a club meeting to be considered for aid.

Commitment to Sight Conservation...
  • Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired. This service began when Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness" during the association's 1925 international convention. Click here to read her inspiring speech.

  • Lions provide thousands each year with free quality eye care, eyeglasses, Braille-writers, large print texts, white canes and guide dogs.

  • Lions collected more than 5 million pairs of eyeglasses each year

  • Lions extend their commitment to sight and work with the blind through countless local efforts.
